X-Gard 1.0 Metal Roof Snow Bar Features:
- NEX® pipe crossmember spans up to 4’ between attachment points
- Proprietary octagonal crossmember prevents rotation and is much stronger than conventional round pipe
- Compatible with standard S-5! clamps

X-Gard™ 1.0 Components
1-Pipe System Using NEX® Pipe
Unique, octagonal high-tensile aluminum crossmember spans up to 48″.
NEX pipe has the ability to cantilever up to 20″ past the last clamp in an assembly.
Installs in 7′ 8″ lengths.
X-Gard 1.0 Bracket
Octagonal-shaped bracket secures attachment of pipe to clamp.
X-Gard Endcaps
Black vinyl endcaps keep rain, dirt or debris out of the pipes.
X-Clip™ II (Optional)
Retards snow sliding under crossmember. Integrated rubber “foot” prevents abrasion of panel finish.
Fits seam heights – 1″ (25 mm) up to 1-3/4″ (44.5 mm). Fits up to 2″ (51 mm) vertical seams, but not 2″ (51 mm) horizontal seams.
X-Clip™ III (Optional)
Retards snow sliding under crossmember. Integrated rubber “foot” prevents abrasion of panel finish.
X-Clip III is designed for seam heights of 2″ (51 mm) up to 3″ (76 mm). Should not be used on 3” horizontal seams.
Splice
Joins adjacent NEX crossmembers to maintain structural continuity. Splice automatically provides for thermal linear expansion and contraction of the X-Gard assembly.
Splice comes with NEX Pipe.
